Jim Snapp II on textual criticism and the endings of Mark.

Valuable internet resources.

Jim Snapp II, while pastoring the Wayne Church of Christ in Wayne, Ohio, posted some very useful pages that are under threat of deletion. Two of his series are particularly relevant to , that on textual criticism and that on the endings of Mark.

Permission has been granted to any who wish to copy the materials from the many pages that Snapp authored, and I have taken it upon myself to copy those two series. I have left the pages intact except for numerous links back to the Wayne Church of Christ home page and to a separate page of sermon materials which has now been deleted.

Many thanks to Jim Snapp II for granting permission to preserve these valuable resources:

The warning that appears at the top of each page...:

...is original to the page; it is not mine. I have no plans to ever remove these pages. Also, all original links to other sites have been left standing in these pages, and will probably continue to be left standing even if the links are broken.

New! Snapp has recently issued his own archetype of the gospel of Mark. This archetype is available on site.

I also highly recommend downloading the essays that Snapp has written on the endings of Mark. These essays are very detailed and well worth reading, agree or disagree:
