1 But when he descended from the mountain many crowds followed him. 2 and behold, a leper came and worships him, saying: Lord, if you wish, I can be cleansed. 3 And he stretched out his hand and touched him, saying: I wish it; be cleansed. And straightway his leprosy was cleansed. 4 And Jesus says to him: See that you speak to no one. But get on, show yourself to the priest and bring the gift that Moses ordered, as a testimony to them. |
40 And there comes to him a leper calling out to him and kneeling and saying to him: If you wish, I can be cleansed. 41 And he felt compassion and he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him: I wish it; be cleansed. 42 And straightway the leprosy went away from him, and he was cleansed. 43 And he snorted with anger at him and straightway cast him out, 44 and says to him: See that you speak nothing to anyone. But get on, show yourself to the priest and bring concerning your cleansing what Moses ordered, as a testimony to them. 45 But he went out and began to preach many things and spread the word* so that he could no longer go into the city openly, but was at deserted places, and they were coming to him from everywhere. |
12 And it happened that he was in one of the cities, and behold, a man full of leprosy. But, upon seeing Jesus, he fell upon his face and requested him, saying: Lord, if you wish, I can be cleansed. 13 And he stretched out his hand and touched him, saying: I wish it; be cleansed. And straightway the leprosy went away from him. 14 And he himself commanded him to speak to no one. But go away and show yourself to the priest and bring concerning your cleansing just as Moses ordered, as a testimony to them. 15 But the word* rather went around about him, and many crowds came together to hear [him] and to be healed of their sicknesses. 16 And he himself was slipping away in the deserts and praying. |
